Journeying as an intrepid travel writer, photographer, and adventure guide, Rachel S. Thurston has traveled to six continents and worked throughout the American West. She's stalked wombats in Tasmania, swum with flesh-loving piranhas in the Amazon, and courageously faced-off rice-wine drinking farmers in North Vietnam.
Her feature articles and photography have appeared in The Los Angeles Times, Santa Barbara Magazine, Food and Home Magazine, and the best-selling travel humor anthologies, What Color Is Your Jockstrap? and More Sand In My Bra, alongside award-winning writer Tim Cahill and comedian Ellen Degeneres. Her latest book The Beautiful Santa Ynez Valley is a collaboration with award-winning photographer Chuck Place.
